Position title: Part-time Volunteer Receptionist
We are looking for someone to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays to fill the important role of receptionist. We can offer training, support, and the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a small, charitable organisation. Ideally we are looking for at least a three month commitment.
Duties:
Welcome clients to the centre
Provide administrative support to staff
Answer and direct telephone calls as appropriate
Essential:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Computer literate
Willing to learn
A positive attitude
Desirable:
Experience working with vulnerable people
Experience/understanding of eating disorders
Familiar with Microsoft publisher

At the Norfolk Eating Disorders Association, volunteers play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a warm, safe, and supportive environment for our clients. We aim to help our volunteers develop their creativity, strength and skills to build open, friendly relationships, and to assist and support people with eating disorders. Many of us know people who have suffered, or who continue to suffer, from eating disorders. You can help others from struggling in silence.
We need volunteers who can:
— Build
supportive relationships with clients
— Help to run various groups and outreach services
— Help with administration and fundraising
We can offer volunteers:
— Professional development in supervised situations
— Initial and ongoing training
— An essential role in a friendly, rewarding environment
