Group meetings in Norwich (for people over 16 with eating disorders) include:
Self-esteem — a rolling series of 7 weekly meetings on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings for up to 8 people. These meetings concentrate on dealing with issues that affect self-esteem, including anger, assertiveness, body image and forgiveness. Click here for details.
Photography — NEW! Join us as we look at famous photographs and learn more about image making. Take some exciting photos and develop your own artistic vision. The format will be based on independent assignments that we will then discuss together in the group. Click here for details.
Creative Writing — NEW! Doing something creative can be very helpful when there's a lot going on in our head. Following on the success of our Art for All group, we are hosting a Creative Writing group on alternate Tuesdays. Click here for details.
Art for All — not “art therapy” but therapeutic art, every other Thursday evening. The group is run by a counsellor who is also an artist. You can follow a theme or do your own thing. Good company and a safe place to relax or explore difficult feelings without using words.
Carers' Support Groups — support and advice from others who are going through similar experiences, with input from various professionals plus help in dealing with the stress.
Sessions are available in King's Lynn on alternate Mondays, 7pm—9pm, and in Norwich at various times. For King's Lynn groups, email Alan or call 07867 662251; or alternatively, email Jackie. For Norwich groups, email Sue or call 01603 665974.
All our group meetings offer the opportunity to meet with others
who have similar experiences, to gain support, friendship and practical
help. For further details, please contact us at
